Getting Started: Health and Fitness Goals

    Staying in shape has always been a huge part of my life. My earliest memory of working out was when I was in elementary. My mother, who was a flight attendant then, would bust a sweat to Jane Fonda's cardio and toning routine.      In high school, I skipped the exercise and literally starved myself skinny. Sad to say but social media was one of the major reasons why I did that and it was just plain ridiculous. It made me look "nice" for a while (I thought) and my hair started falling off easily and I didn't have enough energy to study even and my grades went downhill.       Good thing I managed  to get back on my feet and made a complete diet overhaul. In the last year of college I was already doing weights. It gave me the lift I needed after a long stretch of unhealthy lifestyle. The Art Of Letting (My Job) Go

     A tenure of more than two years will soon come to a finish this Friday. Let's go backward to two years ago, shall we? During the hiring process, I clearly recall telling my interviewer, now team leader, that I would stay for only 24 months. I didn't think before answering the question, to be honest.      2017 - Two years and five months later here I am! This is my second job and never did it occur to me that it would be this difficult to let go of my colleagues turned really good friends and my students. I have learned many things (not related to grammar!). Within this span of time, I took the opportunity to develop myself professionally and did what I didn't get the opportunity to do while in hospital -- travel.      Change can be a difficult thing to welcome. We always have the choice to stay and dwell in a bed of roses..or take the opposite route. I opted for the latter because in the long run, it is going to help me grow. I beli...

From A Coffee Drinker's Point of View: Kratos Coffee

     Coffee is an essential part of my daily life. In other words, I absolutely cannot do without coffee. We have all experienced days wherein even our coffee---needs coffee. Especially on Mondays when everything feels like a drag!      Let's talk about instant coffee. Don't get me wrong...instant coffee is good when you need a temporary mood lifter. The problem here is that when your caffeine tolerance reaches a certain high, you simply cannot settle for less because, in my case, I have noticed that whenever I do, I get headaches, I get sluggish and it's like I have a huge boulder over my shoulders. To cut it short, I'm already dependent of coffee. On a scale of 1 -10, I'd probably say that I'm on an 8. I like my coffee black but I haven't reached the point wherein espressos and free flow coffee have become a thing.      So during my lunch break last week, I stopped by Family Mart and saw Kratos .
