Right in the middle of bustling Cebu lies a coffee shop that is a secret hideaway from it all. Just at the corner of Elizabeth Pond is Bintana. Bintana  means window in Filipino language. Compared with other contemporary cafes here in Cebu, this place offers more of a shabby chic and homey atmosphere that's sure to give you a good warm snug.

     One of the things that sets this place aside from other cafes is the meals that they serve. Most coffee shops dish up the usual pastries, right? Bintana provides warm meals like palabok, chicken, pork chop, burgers, pasta and the like. Not only will you get your much wanted caffeine fix, you'll also get a full belly to top that off! We tried their burger and it was mighty meaty, relished with red onions, iceberg lettuce and crunchy cucumber. Ooh did I mention that they also serve vegan (plant based) food? It's quite surprising since most cafes only offer silog meals like tapa- chorizo- bangus with egg and rice. Rejoice vegans! With regards to drinks, they have ice cold milkshakes, fresh fruit shakes and oh we must not forget, exquisite COFFEE. Civet coffee and Colombian coffee among others.

     This place seemed like a house- turned- cafe. Really. From the entrance to the interiors. There were a lot of windows (thus, the name Bintana). Warm light and soft music fills the air. This is literally the good vibe feel. The venue outside is good for  coffee dates (chaross!) or studying out..or even if you just need time alone.

     We will go back for more dates and more coffee. That's for sure! Give this place a go, dears!
